Li Edelkoort, Balenciaga and more clothes printed and made
On Tuesday, after getting drenched in the rain whilst walking the dog in the morning, I went down to London on the train. The main reason for going down was to listen to Trend Prediction expert Li Edelkoort, but before the talk I went to the V&A for their Balenciaga 'Shaping Fashion' exhibition.
The clothes were just beautiful, words just can't describe how awe inspiring his clothes were/are still. I know I could never afford couture, unless I win the lottery, but it really shows how well made garments using quality fabrics can last a life time and be worn again and again.
Anyway, Li Edelkoort excelled again, talking about what we will be wearing A/W 2017 and 2018 - I suppose it depends how quickly manufacturers can respond to fashion changes.
Not all the clothes below and Balenciaga - some are designers who have been influenced by the great man himself.
I also helped out at Leamington College on Monday - they have three weeks until their fashion show - some are ahead, some are way behind. I hope it all comes together on the big day.
As for my work - its all coming together - photos to follow
